Too late for you pal.

You will hate a game, get only a decent amount of achievement points for it, trade it in but still buy it back at some stage to get more GS for it no matter what it takes.

Welcome to the world of achievements, addicting as hell.

Ugh I'd never buy a game just for easy achievements despite having the means to check out any game and play it for 4 days. Gaming isn't about a score, but about enjoying the experience. However, i must say if I really do enjoy the experience, just like any game before, I like to go through and complete it as fully as possible. So a lot of the games I do get on 360 I go through and get all the achievements that I can if I really like the game. Just like I would in any other system's game if I really like it and want to complete as much of it.

So in short don't play games just for the sake of beefing up a score that doesn't matter whatsoever. Play games for fun and get achievements for your own sake of continuing the fun factor and replay value of the game.

Just realize they don't mean anything. They're random numbers and extra little challenges to do if you're bored. Shouldn't play crappy games that you don't enjoy just to get achievements.

I wish I knew a way to help. Im on the same boat brother. An acheivement whore is what i've become

Achievements are not that important. STATS though, man, I hate it that you can't play without worrying about them. I know I'm probably the only one that's going to check them on sites like Bungie.net or whatever, but I hate to know how much I suck at one certain game (bad kill/death ratio for example). Leaderboards too, what's the point of them?

Sometimes, if I screw something up in a singleplayer game that records stats, I'll just reload the checkpoint right before dying or something like that. I guess the best example I have is Oblivion, where it would record the amount of time you failed to force open a chest. I want this stat to stay at 0 damnit, so I reload the save I made right before attempting the force open if I fail.

I became a sad gamer. Luckily Nintendo understands games are played for fun so they're staying far away from leaderboards that track your performance or other stuff like that... at least as much as possible.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

It's easy to ignore achievements if you just realize that they're patronizing pats on the head from developers for being a good little boy and meeting their arbitrary goals.

What lab rats do for food, gamers will do for a high score.

Remember its just virtual points. I was an achievement whore for a little while, but I ended it by playing really good games and I stopped caring again. Playstation 3 also stopped my addiction, because some games I have don't have Trophies.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

Happened to me too (not to the extent of getting King Kong or anything like that, though.)

I haven't really left it, either. Every time I get a game I convince myself to try and get all the achievements even if I don't find it fun after a while. Only game I actually had fun getting all the achievements on (except multiplayer, never played multiplayer properly on it) was GTA4. Yes, even the flying rats.

Achievements are not good - trophies are good :)

- going back to play Buzz! alone to trophy whore :) -
