According to VGC, MW2 is at 15 million yet it is not listed. You propably argue "on a single platform" but that does not make any sense on a thread about most sold games.

It makes sense, since the VGChartz list that we go by is singleplatform. If it had been multiple platform, your objection would have been valid. But it isn't.

VGChartz does it this way, and we are arguing VGChartz numbers. It's that simple.

In that case, the topic should mention "on a single platform". Quite simple, eh?

No, because the chart format is that by default. You should be telling that to every sales listing organization, not the topic starter.

Oh yes. If someone is talking about the games which have sold the most then people will automatically assume that those games are in fact the games which have sold the most. Not "the most games sold on a single platform".

OH. I fought StarCraft, Diablo and WoW would make the list. All of them are over 10 million, maybe Diablo should be there?

That's the format. If you don't know, you will soon enough.

@ MRFENIX, please read the upper posts. The list is made that way, if you don't like, go on a shootinh spree against the website, not me.

And looking at it, it's obvious that it is per platform ranking, as the weekly sales here on the website.

I don't understand where's your doubt, but i can edit the OP and say that "the following list is made of games per platform" but that would be stating the obvious.

That's all I am asking. :)

Then why don't you ask the site charts have that notice, since, again, that is the format?

Probably eventually. But to be fair bundles shouldn't count which means Wii Play, Wii Sports and Super Mario Bros. And I'm not positive but I think Tetris and Duck Hunt were too.

If we don't count bundles I don't think Nintendo will ever (entirely) dominate the top 25.

If you don't count bundles you have to slash some sales from Halo3, GTA San Andreas and so on...

Yeah but Nintendo is really the only company that does bundles to this extent. Almost every Wii sold includes Wii Sports and it was the same with Super Mario Bros back in the NES days. If Sony had bundled GT3 with every single PS2 it would have like 130 million sales and everyone would be crying not to count that game towards the highest selling games list.

Well too for Sony themselves they haven't done that. It's not my fault. otherwise it could have a chance to be in the top10 in the same situation as other games.

As simple as that.
