We can't add digitally distributed sales because then we had to add a couple millions to Super Mario Bros, and other Virtual Console titles that are in this top25 and selling at a good pace in the Wii Shop channel.

Better stick with retail copies.
Top 20 all Nintendo definitely till the end of 2011...

EDIT: I mean top 15.

I don't mean to be a troll, I'm just generally curious in your justification.

Why is it okay to have two different (Or in one case 3 :/) Pokemon games sales combined into one game, but not combine the same games sales on two different platforms?

If Modern Warfare 2 PS3 and Modern Warfare 2 360 are different games, so are Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Red :/.

not sure how long will take, but it almost seems a given, no game has ever proven it can sell more than 20 million except for nintendo games.

so given enough time it only makes sense that future nintendo releases that have potential to sell 20 million will fill up the top. sure it may take a long time with waiting for future mario's or pokemon or other games. but until a non nintendo game proves it can sell 20+ million then i don't see how you can't believe that nintendo will own the top

Those were minor differences in essentially the same game. It's essentially why a film's box office includes the IMAX sales. But not DVD as that's a different medium.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I understand your point. Having all 3 pokemon games counted separately is the same as having Gears of War 2 and Gears of War 2 Special Edition counted differentely. It isn't that way and neither makes sense because it's the same game in the same platform with minor changes.

MW2 is the same game on both systems, but they're different systems and the list is about individual titles.

If you will, find a list of the most sold games mixing all platforms and all that and post here to discuss. Don't know if such a list is available though.

The list is bullshit. I can tell you for a fact that World of Warcraft has sold several millions more than 12 million.

Which means who knows what other titles we havent thought of that should be on the list. Which means this is an utter shit and useless list.

I can tell you for a fact that until you don't have a link for proof of those World of Warcraft sales, I'll trust on VGCz list rather than on your own thoughts.

And I am tempted to report you due to that weird choice of words to describe my thread. I'll think about it.

There is little doubt that World of Warcraft has way over 12 millions. The fact that no one releases the figures is irrelevant.

GT3 sold that much? Geez...People really like sims. The probability is pretty low but it isn't 0.

Probably eventually. But to be fair bundles shouldn't count which means Wii Play, Wii Sports and Super Mario Bros. And I'm not positive but I think Tetris and Duck Hunt were too.

If we don't count bundles I don't think Nintendo will ever (entirely) dominate the top 25.

If you don't count bundles you have to slash some sales from Halo3, GTA San Andreas and so on...

Yeah but Nintendo is really the only company that does bundles to this extent. Almost every Wii sold includes Wii Sports and it was the same with Super Mario Bros back in the NES days. If Sony had bundled GT3 with every single PS2 it would have like 130 million sales and everyone would be crying not to count that game towards the highest selling games list.

Well, digital copies of SMB and other VC games are not for the NES or their original consoles, but for the Wii. Digital copies and hard copies of PC games like Half-Life 2 are one and the same. I think there's a difference...

Top 20, who knows? It's possible by the end of 2011. Pokemon D/P, Mario Kart DS, WSR, WF+, and NSMBWii will definitely knock San Andreas to 19 by then. Just two more games needed... if Wii Vitality is a hit, and... something else? Pokemon HG/SS has an outside shot, maybe another monster Wii title in the 2010 lineup?

According to VGC, MW2 is at 15 million yet it is not listed. You propably argue "on a single platform" but that does not make any sense on a thread about most sold games.
