  In the case of Microsoft I don't know because they already have some couple godzillian dollars in their pockets. As a Nintendo fan, I like to know that the company is making some pretty money, that means more and steady game production and strong marketing capabilities from them, which will get in my hands more games and more money on theirs so they can produce some other AAA high budget title for me and repeat this cycle till the generation ends.

They're probably fat because the 360 actually makes money so they can afford food unlike... I just went too far didn't I?

As a gamer, why would you care if PS3 sold more in December than the 360?  Both systems have a userbase large enough to warrant 3rd parties to multiplat most games.  You do realize you are on a forum about video game sales right?

And yes, the response from gamings makes sense.  The more financially successful a company is(not just successful in generating a userbase) the more they can reinvest that profit into the system and provide consumers with more and better experiences.

Love how he concentrates on full year figures. He knows they've been outsold in the US by 150k since the slim/price drop. But it can't be spin because only Sony does that....
