Does MHP3 have the most pre orders for this gen in JP or am I completly wrong?

for any gen

Holy shit...

Does that mean MHP3 is also on track to have the biggest Opening Week ever for Japan, beating Pokemon Black/White's Record?

Apparently the pre order numbers translate to smaller numbers (the ratio of conversion) for this game than it is for Pokemon...so it's unclear at this point...it would def make a lot of people eat some good crow tho lol

and Tales of Graces F is doing great isn't it? Those are some impressive numbers...

Ah I see.

Well whether it does or does not doesn't worry me at all. If it does, then well deserved. If it doesn't, it'll still have massive sales so alls good.

Seriously amazed by how much the Japanese love Monster Hunter... I can't get into MH games...

Uh...which have you played and did you go online? Because if you didn't I may have found the answer.

MH Freedom Unite.

Never played online.

But it's more got to do with the gameplay rather than anything else. If I can't dig the gameplay, how will I enjoy it?

Is it because DKCR is made by a western developer?

Let me guess, you thought it was slow/clunky like everyon else right? Well yeah it's like that when you start off but give it a little time and you get used to it.

And online is way more fun than by yourself.

Not slow but yes clunky. Just didn't feel right for me and I'm a guy who loves action games a lot.

I never play a game for 1 Hr and then just ditch it. If I buy a game, it means it's a game I genuinely want to play so I always play games for at least 5 hrs and MHFU was no different but after that it just didn't connect with me. I gave it enough time to win me over but didn't happen so I didn't bother with the Online.

Yeah, like I said, online is way better. And I like action RPGs a lot but MH3 still clicked with me. What weapon(s) were you using? I don't know how different it is between MHFU and MH3 though but I can see why you'd think a great sword or even a long sword seem clunky.

Can't remember specific names of the weapons I used but I did use the Gunlances and Sword and Shield with the Gunlance being my primary. I used the Great Swords more than the Long Swords but not by much. The only reason I didn't use either much at all was because they did feel clunky and the Great Swords differed in power depending on how long you charge your attacks and I'm not a fan of Charge attacks.

Hmm...well Gunlances aren't in MH3 so I can't tell. But I mainly use lance and that isn't very clunky. I used to use the hammer and that isn't very clunky either. Sword and shield isn't clunky, but it's weak...

They weren't clunky to the extent of the Great Swords and Long Swords. I first started out with Great Swords when I first played and because they were clunky as, I switched over to Gunlances and it was my primary until I stopped playing shortly after.

So to give you a better picture:

Approx 4 hrs spent playing with Great Swords and then swtiched over to Gunlances for about 2 Hrs in total before not playing it anymore. Sure you could argue that 7 hrs or so isn't enough to fully experience a game that contains more than 500 hrs of Gameplay but in the end it just wasn't for me unfortunately.
