I wonder what his approval rating is now, after everything that he's done? I remember it being a low 23% a few months ago.

Its been slowly going lower and lower. It's kind of 'hovered' at 2-5% 'positive' approval rating since November. But his favorable rating dropped 2% within the past few days.

If trends continue he'll be in the negative, which is a really, really bad thing for Obama.

Recent polls show that if the 2012 elections were held today, Obama would lose, and this is without putting anyone against him, just on his own accomplishments (or lack there of).

Also, if you read the comments in the CNN article, ALL of them are against him. This is CNN, not Fox News. He is not doing himself any favors in the public eye.

And another thing about this that pisses me off.. he wants to get this done this week, or early next week. I wounder why the rush all the sudden? It wouldn't be that there is something else in the news taking all the focus away or anything? No.. he would not be that low... oh wait... he would.

Interesting.

If that holds true, then he is going to have one heck of a lame duck session in 2011-2012.

If you're referring to the MA Senate race I don't think that will be a factor.  There really isn't much chance at all of them getting the bill done before the election and if Brown wins there is no way they are going to even attempt to force it through before he is seated.  Even if they did you would see guys like Joe Lieberman revoking their vote until he was seated etc...

None of that addresses the fact that the fastest way they could prove that everything bad the GoP says about them is true is to so blatantly attempt to subvert the will of the MA voters.  It would be the biggest gift Obama could give the GoP and would probably torpedo the bill anyways.

To Each Man, Responsibility

For his first year I think he's doing pretty good considering the 8 years of failure. No one man can repair a nation by themselves, but at least he's putting forth an effort. I can't say the same for Congress, who act like a bunch of children (Especially the Republicans and the Blue Dog democrats whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean).

Obama 2012!

I don't get it. One minute everyone is bashing Obama for his lack of transparency, the next he's being bashed for his transparent corruption. There's no winning with some of you people...

Obama 2012! Yes we can! Derp!

If only we could elect a smart man like Pat Buchanan. He would fix all of the problems in the US.
Though I'm sure some of you wouldn't like some of his solutions.....

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

To be honest, I don't know whats in the healthcare bill and I don't care. Without a public option, any healthcare plan is doomed to fail, and is fundamentally no different than what we have now.

I meant what's going on in Haiti, not the election.

A blue dog democrate is someone with the same views as a democrat, they just ask that you explain to them how it's going to be paid for.

My question is why do they have a category of democrate for this. Shouldn't all democrate's be this way?

And can you please explain to me what he has done in the last year to fix the 8 years of failed policy? Please state the issue (war, economy, washington, whatever), and then explain to me what was failing, and how he has started to fix it.

Don't worry if you end up staring at a blank page for a while... I am not sure anyone can do it.
