Don't, save your money the last beta was only a server test meaning if you didn't like the open beta then you will not like the game either since it's what's going on the disc.

It's gonna shift consoles in my opinion, but it won't make a noticeable spike in sales, it'll steadily sell some consoles over time.

I knew about MAG even before I had my ps3 and it was one more reason for me to get the ps3 and I've actually heard that some people seem to be interested enough to buy a console just for the game. It's easily my favorite FPS-game this gen, it works and is simple yet fun and it reminds me of planetside.

Absolutely not, awful game IMO, but God of War 3 and Heavy sure will, those two are already pre-ordered.

Well, they failed if they think it'll make us get a PS3. I can give my reasons:

First, I'm not an FPS fan. One of my roommates is... more tolerant of them than I, but he's not really what anyone would call a fan of them.

Secondly, if I buy a game, I should be able to play it whenever. My guess is that with the size of the games and the global market, playing it at 3 AM shouldn't be tough. But, say, 25 years later? If the server's gone, it doesn't matter if it was my favorite game ever, I won't be able to relive the memories and play it any more. Whereas my games that are 25 years old still work fine.

Thirdly, I'm not an online gamer. I prefer having fun locally, with friends. If I can't do that in a game that's designed for multiplayer, then the multiplayer aspect fails to me. Which leaves the single player aspect. MAGs... is non-existant. So I have no way of playing this game that I care for. And this is what I worry about most; if this becomes a trend, I'll move back away from gaming.

sounds very similar to what Sony said for KZ2 launch last year.

tried the beta and was fun, played mainly as sniper. il have my copy in fe weeks.

for large scale team battles you cant get better than this, a first of its kind on consoles.

this is definatly going to sell amazingly but its online only so i cant see it being a system seller.
