they didn't say that nintendo is lazy, as i recall the reviewer wanted more of the game but couldn't get it because nintendo played it safe...i agree with the review...the game has no online multiplayer or no characters....they did nothing new.....surely its not a copy and paste but ninty did play it safe with this game...i still do not see how they are biased towards ninty, every editor in the staff chooses thier team of prefrence *whether it be the ps team or the ninty team* and a nintedo reviewer reviewed the game and gave it a fair 8.9

C'mon Ninty fans, this bitchin' about IGN's GOTY is well beneath you as a group. Uncharted 2 has won more GOTY's than just IGN's so why are you making this into an IGN is biased thread? How many overall GOTYs has NSMB won? It's not like IGN's decision is way out on a limb.

Fact is:
NSMB is like YaaaaY!

Uncharted 2 is like Woah!!! :-o

When it comes to GOTYs Woah!!! beats Yaaaay! 9 times out of 10. That's just the reality of people who decide GOTYs. Gamesport gave Demon's Souls its GOTY because they thought it was more Woah!!!! than Uncharted 2's Woah!!! Even the gaming public vote in fqavour of Woah! games, well at least the ones who vote generally do. Look at the other GOTY main contenders: Batman AA - a Woah! game; Dragon Age: Origins - another Woah! game; Assassin's Creed II - yet another Woah! game; MW2 - yep you guessed it, a Woah! game.

In the same way, even though Ratchet and Clank was on some GOTY nomination lists with large numbers of nominees it was never really in contention because, well it's a Yaaay! game too.

If Ninty want to have a game that gets a decent amount of GOTY love they need to make one that is the most WOAH! of the year.

If there's bias anywhere it's this: Woah bias against Yaaay! It's not a Mario, or Wii or Ninty thing, except to the exent that people associate all those names with Yaaay! rather than Woah!
