Despite all the hate, it seems FFXIII could be a perfect RPG IMO if wasn't for the lack of cities (damn, there should be at least some small villages outside the, uh, big city on the sky, people like the stranded on Gears of War).

without a doubt, my favorite, the gameplay is so fun that any annoyance goes away. i thought that ff7 would be my favorite for ever but this certainly outdoes for me. My biggest complaint is that square is going to release dlc, which is gay.

I think the majority of the big name sites, magazines and reviewers are going to see the game for what it is, instead for misplaced hate for this FF not being their FFVI or FFVII ideal remake or blueprint. All the previews at least points to how awesome and how good this game is :) 

Yeah.  It's not like RE5 where they mechanics were similar to RE4.  FFXIII is a different beast from FFXII.

All FF's evolve from their previous iterations, that's why I love this series so much, each new game shows us how JRPG can be different and how it can evolve, without it having to stuck to some preconceptions, unlike some of it's fans, which seem stuck in the same mold, over and over again :P

lol i hope so too, i paid 160 to have it shipped to my house on the 18th of december! i would pay more,cause its that good.  

 

also i need to play ff6, is it ff6 in the united states or is it a different number?

FF6 wa originally FF3 in the US

but the GBA remakes have it as FF6

the best thing you should do is download a GBA emulator or a SNES emulator onto your PC & then download the FF6 remake rom (for GBA) or the FF3 rom (for SNES) & enjoy one of the most EPIC games ever made!

Nice. I had to pay $93usd for mine. Tried it on the PS3 2 days ago but I'm so tied up with MW2 on the 360 that I hope I can find some time to play my FF13. Graphics are so far so good but I need to remember the controls first since I can't read Japanese.
