I think the majority of the big name sites, magazines and reviewers are going to see the game for what it is, instead for misplaced hate for this FF not being their FFVI or FFVII ideal remake or blueprint. All the previews at least points to how awesome and how good this game is :) 

I hope so

as the eurogamer preview is scathing the game, dunno why they hated it so much, most negative preview I've ever seen lol

55 days to go, we'll know about reviews in 45 days!

So far so good. Like most other games in the series, there are lots of enemies with crazy designs. For some reason the machines and monsters remind me of FFVII.

So if you were to put a number grade of Final Fantasy XIII (1-100) what would it be?

Graphics?
Story?
Battle System?
Music?

Other than that it does sound like it lives up to my expectations :D

Dude vanille is AWESOME. To be completely honest, Sazh and Hope are my two least liked characters so far. It's not that I have a problem with them, just that they are not my favorite. I thought I was going to hate Snow but I've actually grown to like him. Right my final party is looking like this:

Fang (Attacker/Blaster)

Lightning (Attacker/Blaster)

Vanille (Healer/Blaster)

Can you tell what my favorite job class is?

Overal: It's sitting at a 95% for me. It could go both ways. It is deffinitley going to enter my top 5 RPG's of all time.

Black Mage. In FFXIII they specifically specialize in chaining attacks.

@darth & soriku - The soundtrack is phenomenal. You really don't understand how amazing most of the tracks are untill you hear them in the middle of playing. The battle theme seriousley sticks with you.

the game is amazing, I beat it in 48 hours and loved almost every minute of it. not to spoil but i hated hope and snow, to me they were useless annoying. My party was lightning, fang and vanille.

I would give
Story: 94
Music: 98
Battle: 100
Graphics: 88

the game-play is definitely the best part , but the graphics weren't amazing, square spent too much time making the faces and not the whole body.
