Right... i'll read onwards to Jins review now, however 8 to 10 is far to long for my taste...

Im glad darth and lestedark sent me here, these impressions and reviews thus far were actually more helpful then i thought, though quite a few things that perpride took as good things im taking as... well... im not all for it to be honest.

I just beat every last single enemy you can beat in the game. Now I only have to redo some mission for a perfect ranking and level up my equipment for total completion.

The farther you get in the game the more control you have. There will be new things added to the battle system for a pretty long time.

I just checked my save files and at the beginning of chapter 9 I couldn't select the battle members while I could in chapter 10. So, it either happens somewhere in chapter 9 or at the beginning of chapter 10.

So it's 9 to 10?

I'll have to say this. It's great how this game is neither tedious nor frustrating and still has depth to it in the battle system. I'm gonna say almost everyone will appreciate that you can repeat battles. Sometimes you just go into a battle with the wrong tactic or members and have to figure out what the best optima / paradigm shift constellation would be.

There's also no need for a grindfest. It's enough to take out the enemies as you go on which helps keep up the pace for the story.

Also, the menus look very good and are easy to navigate and the level up system is easy to understand.
