I disagree. As the platform which will soon have the largest install base of all time, any week that the DS gets outsold is a notable week. The Wii outselling the DS is particularly notable, since it's the only platform which has a chance of overtaking the DS's lifetime sales.

I thought that was a given... Its a shame though. Platnum games has a gift for making memorable and classic games...but they are rarely rewarded with sales.

Good for Darksiders... seems like a cool game too.

This week last year was very strong for XBox 360, for some reason I haven't looked into, so Wii had much less marketshare that week in America.

Why are people saying the DS is low? It's up YoY nearly as much as Wii. And America leans to the Wii rather than DS compared to other regions.

I thought wii would be lower than that. Guess not everyone got a wii for xmas after all.

So the sales of the DS are interesting for this week, but again, nobody really cares about the handhelds. It is quite interesting that we haven't seen any threads talking about the ridiculous numbers the DS has been posting recently

im pretty sure it has a LOT to do with them fucking up the ps3 version. i would ecpect more sales if it was not for the bad press. o well like ive said before make a good game or dont make it on ps3.

Despite all the hype Bayonetta isn't a genre changing action game.
I think a lot of reviewers got blown away by playing a sexy female character in an action game and it clouded their judgement.
The game isn't bad, but it's definitely not as good as some made it sound like...( scoring is screwed, leaderboard don't mean much,...)

I made one about the DS being flat in it's fifth year after peaking in it's fourth. It didn't really take off though..
