Go Sony! 2010 will be amazing for them leading up to e3. MAG, Heavy Rain, GOW3, Bioshock 2, Final Fantasy XIII all leading the way to an amazing first half of the year.

2009 holiday was a great bounce for sony...but sony needs to make sure they have 2-3 exclusives this coming holidays compared to last year's lone Uncharted 2 which was great, but it can't do it all by itself.

The Last Guardian could sell 1 million this holiday, GT5 would be a sure hit, and then they need a shooter to fill it out (possibly Resistance 3?)

As soon as we hear more about Agent then that could be the other ace in the hole for sony.

As for the xbox, microsoft needs to reestablish itself software-wise this year. It had 3 exclusives i can name off the top of my head throughout the entire year. Halo Wars, Halo 3: ODST, and Left 4 dead 2 compared to sony's killzone 2, infamous, uncharted 2, ratchet & clank: ACIT, demon souls, and more

Good thing microsoft has a good first half too with Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell (hopefully)

THIS E3 WILL BE AMAZING FOR ALL 3 CONSOLES

There also a guy who claims "no matter how close the numbers are though, they're stilled pulled out of his ass". No, they seriously think he guesses the numbers withing a 5-10% margin of error every week for several years? There's even been times when he was more precise than NPD themselves (DS debacle holiday of 2008 I think).

Funny how those things don't get talked about on gaf aint it?

Your point seems to be that the battle for second place is between the consoles with the best games, and while it's certainly imaginable that this is very true according to whatever value set you use to quantify library quality, it's also blatantly untrue of an equally large demographic.

No, my point is that the battle for second place is between the consoles with games that gamers prefer. Best is too subjective.

One look at metacritic should tell you all you need to know( i know you wii fans love metacritic). These reviewers are first and foremost gamers and as gamers they for the most part aren't exactly thrilled with wii games.

I don't consider someone who would prefer to play wii fit plus over uncharted 2 a gamer. Do you?

More - I think I'm probably one of the "core gamers" you refer to. Given the context of our conversation - this website, wherein we catalog our collections and where I could make a standing argument for God Hand being the best action game ever made - would you say this is fair?

Reviewers are simply not representative of a certain segment of gamers. It may be sad, but it's tru, and to pretend that "gamers" prefer the HD twins over the Wii is inherenly fallacious on more than one front.

As to Wii Fit Plus over Uncharted 2? Of course I do. Who am I to say what someone should prefer to play?

But what exactly is NeoGaf? Is it just another gaming forum or more? Because i see it quoted here in the forums a lot in terms of news and stuff.

Plus looking at the thread about Bayonetta, those dudes have some issues with VGChartz, yet they cannot provide better data. Did we hurt them when they were babies?
