Talk about a misleading OP title. It's only delayed in Japan not NA or EU as they haven't yet gotten a release date. It looks like SONY not PD are pushing to have a WW release which is smart of them.
Also how does this news affect anyone here who had no intentions to even import the Japanese version of GT5 anyway?
If this was an attempt to coordiante a WW release then they really should of said that in the press release. It is suprising how resilient the fans are about these delays though.

well, in the past, for some games (GT5 ?), the announcement were made YEARS before the effective release date

I already expected a late summer, September-October release, much like LBP in 2008.

Not as surprising as the ammount of ppl who doesn't even own a ps3 act as if this news affects them in anyway,ohh look another example just below your comment.
This looks like they are starting to push for a worldwide release in the summer, that is unless this delay pushes the NA and EU versions as well.
But sound like a summer 2010 release WW, which is much more sensible TBH, seeing as all the other games coming out in Feb & Mar.

That's the biggest issue with GT5. A complete lack of proper news. We honestly have no idea what's going on. Every little detail we get about the game usually comes from some obscure interview translated via Google. Polyphony has never released an official, detailed fetaure list in English. They have never given a specific release timeframe for all three territories. They don't give us squat. Everything we get is second hand information that's never 100% reliable.
They seriously need to hire a community manager.
