Forums - Sales - Cursed mountain: Great game, not so great sales.

Well, this is my first posting and it's about Cursed Mountain for the wii.  Just want everybody to know that it's a very good game.  Yes, the controls are shaky at first, but you get the hang of it pretty soon.  I am almost finished, just the final boss before it's all over and let me tell you it was a great ride.  The atmosphere is awesome, so is the setting.  The music is great and the combat, once you get it, is very satisfying. It's not your typical blood fest type of a game and I'm super glad for it.  Thank god for something different.  And since it's now at a very low price, I encourage you to really give it a try.  I want a sequel :)

Thanks!

I played the beginning of the game, it's an awesome experience, I'm just finishing LKS to play it.

I played through Cursed Mountain back in November. It was such a great game!

It was one of the scariest games I've ever played. That was due to the atmosphere and the TOP-NOTCH sound design. Gamers with a competent surround set-up will really be impressed. It featured a spectacular engine too. Being able to see where you were further down the mountain and looking up and seeing where you will be soon was really hot - one of the best engine tweaking jobs I've seen from a Wii 3rd party developer.

I wish Deep Silver marketed it better. No one knew about it. I hear it got some adverts on European TV. Not so much in America though.

I agree that the sound and the atmosphere are absolutely the best parts of this game. I think the game is too slow-paced to draw in most players, but I found it highly enjoyable.

i'll give it a download and check if this game is overrated as i think it is, i'll post my impressions soon. Hope it's as good as people say it is

i bought the game, it was fun, had some great moments.

the only thing i didn't like were some unresponsive controls movements when fighting ghost.

I didn't hear ANYTHING about it here in America. The sales were doomed to fail. I see that it fared much better in Others though.

One of the problems with the Wii is that there are plenty of gamers looking for the next thing to buy, but the titles haven't been made known to them. No kid at my school has ever heard of No More Heroes. However, Channel One (student based high-school service program) displayed Punchout and Zelda commercials.

Well, I have just finished it. Very satisfying. I might give it another go to find some of the sacred texts I have missed.
