They need to pay Tiger even though the game sales have probably gone in the crapper.

Oh, trust they are keeping him on the payroll.  They said his personal life has nothing to do with the his game.

In other words, we are screwed because the game is already out and a recall would be more expensive than letting games sit on the shelves.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

All these dying companies... they deserve nothing better.

I sadly must agree. With the crap they have tossed on the Wii, and the refusal to accept responsibility for their own actions, they deserve this.

EA, Ubisoft, and Capcom more than others imo;(

PS: can anybody here name half the +80 games Ubish** has put out on the Wii??

Gaming make me feel GOOD!

All joking aside if they completely dropped all HD games (except Madden and Fifa) for wii, and put AAA effort in these game + advertising they'll be making a pofit!!

fuck, I understand nothing to those numbers lol

also, do you think Activision will follow similar path ? worst ? better ?

Starcraft II

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

because you think The Sims (3) or FIFA are not insane success for EA ?

both companies are making money on some "big" games but last time I checked, the R&D part in the EA budget was etxremely big

Time to Work !

They need to move more into PSN / XBLA - Battlefield 1943 was the biggest success on those networks ever I think - and EA never really made the most out of it after that with DLC and stuff. They have the Madden Arcade game coming too, and I assume a FIFA will follow.

I really can't see many game releases this year that could of bled a large hole in their wallet, so either they're just too big of a company and no quarter release of games will make up for what they pay 7400 employees or they have alot of people at the 'top' on stuipidly large contracts - a similiar problem that happened to Midway.

I really don't understand this Business and Economics stuff enough tbh, the first post makes no sense to me lol. They take me as a company far to big to ever get into 'trouble' though.

how do they lose all this money the only thing that would let them lose that much money is maybe R & D for a new console.

This news only tells about decreased revenue but nothing about weather they made a profit or loss. I assume they're losing money though.
