Forums - Sales Discussion - EA cuts 2010 forecast

They really messed up on Rock Band. They blew their chance with the Wii last year. This year they blew a ton of money on the Beatles.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Just keep releasing better FIFA games, it has sold really well, that must be profitable....

They need to pay Tiger even though the game sales have probably gone in the crapper.

OH, they are selling like hot cake

but the investissement they are doing right now in :

- new games
- next gen games
- new peripheral
- R&D

is drying all their earned money

Time to Work !

So what did they lose money on this time?

It would be easier to list what they didn't lose money on.

Still bleeding? EA should just drop new IPs and "guided experiences" and focus on always selling software like Madden, NFS, Rock Band, Shooters.

EA should stop making crap and stop taking big risks and chances with their new IP.

They need to release something like Just Dance/Imagine from UBI...

also, do you think Activision will follow similar path ? worst ? better ?

Starcraft II

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

Yes, I read somethings about EA making cuts everywhere...cutting old servers that have been around for awhile...I honestly don't know how long EA will last.  During the year 2010 alot more companies will suffer.  Man its hard to see things like that happen and its just reality...
