Forums - Sony Discussion - Qriocity Revealed

cryo-city sounds good but still a flaw re: streaming hd videos.

if you have fast connection, currently you can begin a download on psn and more or less play the film str8 away it will play whilst it downloads in background, i dont see what the big fuss is about instant streaming.

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

Its like the zune (silverlight) service on the 360 presumably. On demand streamed HD. Good news.

Funny. It's like netflix on xbox360 but done by Sony rather than a 3rd party.

No.  Netflix on XBox360 is like Netflix on PS3.

This is more like the Zune marketplace.

No.

Yes.  Really, how ISN'T this like Zune Marketplace?

Wheres the psn logo?

It's not a ps product. Will go universal in terms of products. Ps3 is but 1 Sony product.

It is a PSN product.  They are trying to make the PSN accessible to more platforms, including computers and Sony TVs.  They are trying to unify all their different online services under the PSN brand.  Similar to what Microsoft is currently doing with the XBox Live brand (bringing it to Windows Mobile 7 phones).  http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/11/xbox-live-games-to-plug-windows-mobile-into-xbox-ecosystem-at/

Yes of course. Just communicating the branding will be very different. PSN was just the starting point. PSN has now left the building in this area. Sony network entertainment is the new company.

I think this would be cool, I never got Netflix I just always thought it was too much for me to do. But this i could probably use a PSN card and buy the service and use it. Though it all depends on how much it cost. I like how it looks too.
