It's ok, the SNES JRPGs are still pretty much the best ones IMO. Except for Kingdom Hearts, some Tales games, Vagrant Story and Xenogears.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

Considering the poll is only considering 'console' JRPGs (aka Wii JRPGs), this thread is yet again rather pointless.

What do I need to do to get it through to people that 90% of JRPGs are on handhelds?

I don't think anyone desputes that fact. But all I'm asking is what JRPGs people perfer to buy on the Wii. What's wrong with that?

Nothing I guess.  It just seems the majority of this site only thinks a good RPG is one on a console.  What with most of the threads only debating about console RPGs and the like.  And especially with JRPGs, you pretty much are going to be alienating practically all of them that way.

There's also just the fact that I'm not really looking forward to any Wii RPGs coming up.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

just Fragile

Well I already have ToG as you can see on my sig.
Looking to get fragile and arf. Never heard about monado though. Shiren on the other hand is a no for me.

Currently Playing: Devil Survivor 2 (NDS)

Fragile for me. Not so much for the game, but the art. I run an RPG called Tribe 8. Unfortunately the company were a bit skimpy on the art for the world :(. Fragile state of the world looks 99% perfect. Heck from the story it wouldn't be that much shoehorning. Except for some of the back story about the last days of humanity. Wouldn't take that much tweaking to have one part of the world(say Japan?) end up having a different apocalypse due to the spiritual rift.

So when I heard this game is getting localized. I was very happy. Describing how what the world looks like that didn't suffer a nuclear explosion(Fallout) is hard, there is little to use to associate with. So now all I need to do is figure a way to take screenshots from my setup.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Definitely:
Fragile

Most Likely:
Arc Rise Fantasia
Tales of Graces

Not Likely:
Monado

No Buy:
Shiren

meh.... I'll see the reviews... decided to slow down RPG consumption as the back log gets too big (currently on DQ4...)

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

I voted Arc Rise Fantasia. It's my most anticipated Wii RPG for now, i've been watching it for a while and am pretty excited. It was a tough call between that and Graces, but right now i'm waist deep in Vesperia and don't think i'll plough into another Tales game anytime soon once i'm finished getting all the achievements for it. I'll wait for more information on Monado, it does seem like it'll be great with a talented team behind it.

How technical is your game?
