Does viera plasmas do 3d i have a 600 hertz 42 inch 720p plasma?

Sadly no... Only 2 plasmas do 3D today. Samsung PN450 series. 42 and 50 inch models. And not verry vell I might add...

To do 3D properly before CES 2010 you needed a sammy r mitsubushi DLP made in 2008-2009 or 120 hz monitor made by Sammy or Viewsonic.

i guess that i will have to wait for a 50 inch viera tv to support 3d so i can buy a new plasma. Viera are the pioneers of plasma not samsung tehy are just trying to get as much money from it and they believe it won't last but viera is supporting it and increasing production of plasmas.

Wise choice... Plasma 3D will be superior to LCD 3D fo many years. LCD refresh rate causes ghosting...

yay more time for ps3 to rule over the xbox 360 in my opinion lol

do you have a plasma. if so what size and specs.

We probably got at least 3 years before next gen starts. Keep in mind that sometimes prev gen consoles still manage to survive a couple years after the gen ends. As far as I'm concerned we need at least 2-3 regular FF games per gen, we've only just now gotten one.

And, I won't touch 3D gaming until next gen, if ever, period. It's not really about having to come up with the extra money for a new compatible LCD when I could be spending that money on games. As far as I'm concerned this is gimmicky 3D. It's still flat in my opinion and id rather wait until holograms. Were I would actually be able to play in the middle of the game, where I could turn around and still see parts of the game. And hopefully wouldn't need these bloody glasses.

No. I have a Samsung DLP... http://reviews.cnet.com/projection-tvs/samsung-hl67a750/4505-6484_7-33043717.html

And a Viewsonic 22 inch LCD monitor.

The 2 Samsung plasmas that support 3D are good but they are not 1080p. So its best to wait for the new 2010 models.

Ive played avatar on the 360 in 3D. Looks as good as the PC version...

So if a game is optimized for 3D from the get-go...3D can be done on xbox with ease. For older games however...not likely.

How does that work on the X360? What glasses u wear, and what Hz does it demand from your TV-screen?

The TV - http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/item/about/458892796/samsung-hl67a750  (120 hz, 3D ready)

The glasses I bought - http://www.i-glassesstore.com/dlp3d-bundl-adv.html (this will work with many other ones)

How it works:

Step 1 -Game has native 3D mode. So options > 3D On. Turn this on

Step 2 - plug the base that came in to the glasses in to the 3 pin Vesa port on the back of the TV. This controlls the shutter of the glasses

Step 3 - on the TV remote push menu > 3D on. This makes the TV show the checkerboard pattern to the eye whcih, using the glasses, creates the exact same 3D that everyone is going nuts at when watching Avatar or looking at 2010 CES TVs.

Wow those glasses look really funny. But what, you have these glasses for the X360 and then you also got a pair of Nvidia glasses for Nvidia 3-D on the PC?

Is there a difference in quality? I mean, how good/bad is the 3D you've tried on the X360 compared to Nvidia's 3D on PC?

Yeah glasses do look funny and I have both, 3D vision and this. I bought 3D vision but there are 2 other 3D providers on the computer, both of which need those glasses. SO I bought this as well... helps when a freind os over and you both want to watch 3D movie clip or something...

And what are those providers?

with the comment on hardware upgrades it sounds like the 360 can go the way of the genesis, with attachments rivaling the monstrosity that was the 32x and sega cd

but good to know mine will be relevant as long as it doesnt crap out.... again.
