Nah, I think it has been made X360 only in mind and there won't be any extra stuff in PC version. So with better PCs it will use only portion of their processing power.

What they are doing currently isn't really profitable and instead of making new console that would be less powerful(like wii) why not just use the old one. I am sure some people won't be happy when graphics aren't really evolving, but hey theres always PC. ;)

The release of Natal agrees with you, as does MS.

Really, unless they panic if Natal doesn't go ganbusters, MS would be crazy to release too early. Developers aren't going to embrace even higher costs which is the result of a big specification jump, plus the Wii and PS3 wouldn't suddenly die but would likely see boosts unless MS also kept the 360 on the market as Sony did with PS2.

The most likely result of an early, more expensive next Xbox would be a mass jump by the core but the loss of the momentum MS is trying to build with more casual gamers. They'd be throwing that away and probably giving Nintendo and Sony the gift of that whole market for the remainder of the Wii/PS3 lifetime.

In short, there is indeed no need for a new Xbox right now.

I was hoping for a new xbox in 2012 but that seems unlikely now. I can't see using the same 360 in 2015 they'll have to have something new by then.

No need for a new XBox until late 2012 at the earliest. The XBox 360 is the past 4 years, the present and now the future with the Natal Project coming late 2010.

Wow those glasses look really funny. But what, you have these glasses for the X360 and then you also got a pair of Nvidia glasses for Nvidia 3-D on the PC?

Is there a difference in quality? I mean, how good/bad is the 3D you've tried on the X360 compared to Nvidia's 3D on PC?

Sadly no... Only 2 plasmas do 3D today. Samsung PN450 series. 42 and 50 inch models. And not verry vell I might add...

To do 3D properly before CES 2010 you needed a sammy r mitsubushi DLP made in 2008-2009 or 120 hz monitor made by Sammy or Viewsonic.

Yeah glasses do look funny and I have both, 3D vision and this. I bought 3D vision but there are 2 other 3D providers on the computer, both of which need those glasses. SO I bought this as well... helps when a freind os over and you both want to watch 3D movie clip or something...

Console 3D in the 3 games that its available on is pretty good. Avatar especially...looks 99% as good as it does on the PC. The game doesn't look as good but the FX do. There is even a trick to make 3D vision work with the xbox for avatar that was posted on Ubisoft forums.

i guess that i will have to wait for a 50 inch viera tv to support 3d so i can buy a new plasma. Viera are the pioneers of plasma not samsung tehy are just trying to get as much money from it and they believe it won't last but viera is supporting it and increasing production of plasmas.
