mega drive had a big win? the snes had a big win!
but i agree with you, no need for the eight-gen to start now

I agree with MS, no need for XB720, duck-taping two 360's together FTW!!!

How does that work on the X360? What glasses u wear, and what Hz does it demand from your TV-screen?

The TV - http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/item/about/458892796/samsung-hl67a750 (120 hz, 3D ready)
The glasses I bought - http://www.i-glassesstore.com/dlp3d-bundl-adv.html (this will work with many other ones)
How it works:
Step 1 -Game has native 3D mode. So options > 3D On. Turn this on
Step 2 - plug the base that came in to the glasses in to the 3 pin Vesa port on the back of the TV. This controlls the shutter of the glasses
Step 3 - on the TV remote push menu > 3D on. This makes the TV show the checkerboard pattern to the eye whcih, using the glasses, creates the exact same 3D that everyone is going nuts at when watching Avatar or looking at 2010 CES TVs.
Yes I would like this gen to last longer...it is the most interesting gen..

nothing looks as good as the PC version, if they look the same PC version was probably not on high.

3D looks the same Jimmy. Exact same 3D effects are seen on both...
Visuals obviously don't. I game in 1080p on PC with AA and all that jazz. But they are comparable...

is there really a difference between experiencing games in 2d and 3d?

Definitely!
The question is, will people upgrade to 120 Hz TVs and buy 3D glasses to experience it, and considering most people have just jumped into the HD TV market in the last year or two, IMO the answer is "no". It's gonna be a niche thing for years yet.
