Daybreakers looks pretty cool, haven't seen it yet, though.

I saw this last night and thought it was a pretty cool movie, my cousins' hated it though.

Twilight so called vampires sound more like fairies to me.

Daybreakers was pretty cool. The idea was certainly bigger than the budget. I did appreciate it more after being dragged to go see New Moon with my wife.

I like the True Blood type of vampire. Crucifixes, garlic, and holy water do nothing. They can't go into private residences. They can be seen in mirrors. They have super strength and speed and more so with age. The older they are, the more damage sunlight does to them. They can glamor humans. They're subservient to their creators. Their skin burns when it makes contacts with silver. They can only be killed by stakes or overexposure to sunlight. Their blood have medicinal uses, can act similar to Viagra in large doses, act similar to heroine in small doses, and their blood can be used to link Vampires to humans in both body and mind.

I probably forgot a few things or exaggerated a few points but I personally like this to the old Dracula archetype.

True Blood is one of the finest examples of the vampire genre for all the reasons you list.

zombies have gone through a similar faze

ummm... i dont remember ever seeing a human make out with a zombie....

It won't be long. Last year saw the release of a few Zombies at my high school type books. My cousin told me about one she read where "Living Undeads" attended highschool with normal kids, and the main character falls in love with one

i dont think it could ever get as bad as the movie "Fido". I don't want to see undead pets ... I want to see masses of undedad Ripping poeple to shreads while they scream for their life then feed on their insides while the (still alive person) screams for death and not to become an undead thm selves....           I ♥ Zombies.

Actually, Zombie Honeymoon was a pretty entertaining flick. I liked it and for some reason my girlfriend LOVED it

As for Vampire movies. Has anyone seen Let the Right one In yet? I just got a copy (sadly it's dubbed though) and I can't wait to watch it.
