Free Radical, Factor 5 and HVS.

go go go go go

Free Radical has already been acquired by Crytek.

I know.

But I wouldn't have minded seeing Nintendo do it all the same.

Around the Network

If Nintendo would do this, it should either (a) target a company that makes good Wii games or (b) target a company that makes mutliplatform games and understands the Wii.

Either move would strengthen Nintendo's offerings and the latter would weaken the competition.

That being said, Nintendo probably is not going to buy anyone.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Rare used to be one of my favorite devs back in the late SNES, N64 days, but they have since turned to crap. Nintendo parted ways with them at the right time. PDZ was a pretty big disappointment, and their few games since then just look uninspired and mediocre.

I would say I'd love for Nintendo to buy Silicon Knights, or at least start working closely with them again, so they can get to work on that Eternal Darkness sequel that I have been anticipating for like 7 years now.

Also, maybe Xseed. They did a fantastic job with LKS, and Fragile looks awesome as well. I think I'm going to have to check out more of their Wii games, Sky Crawlers and Rune Factory both look very good.

Xseed is a publisher, not a developer.
