Forums - Gaming Discussion - Was Activision right to not pick up Brutal Legend in retrospect?

They may have been.

The game would be a lot better if they had decided whether to make it an RTS or a sandbox action adventure. As both it kinda sucks. The combination of genres make the controls very frustrating.

And who the hell makes an RTS without a minimap, or mouse controls?

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

It would have better as a Hack n Slash, the RTS elements in the game annoy me. I don't blame Activision for not Publishing it.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

I wanted the game at one point but I really don't like RTS...

I thought it was an Action Adventure title at first...
