Why would there be a meltdown?

Because all the people who think that Wii is losing momentum, because of all those who thought PS3 would get to five million before Wii gets to 10 in japan, for those who didn't believe Wii could get 6 1 million weeks in a row

Well, there wouldn't be a "meltdown", but it would take another chunk out of the popular narrative that the Wii fad has ended.

Well probably not. DS seems like it should have another million selling week but Wii looks like it is going to be about 900k-950k. But hey sales have surprised me all around this entire year so why not surprise me in its last week as well.

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

My goodness. I remember a thread when ppl were predicting 2 million selling weeks for Wii, tops. Now Wii may get 6.

Maybe I'm one of the few who expect Wii to be up yoy from 2009. Especially because Nintendo has done a better job with software. AC and WM? Did not cut it.

With Media Create reporting in the mid 100Ks for Japan 1 million is looking a tad harder to achieve than I first thought. But it's still doable if America holds up its end.

I predicted 4 x 1 million for Wii this holidays. Nice to see my one and only 2010 prediction has got off to a good start: All my predictions will turn out to be wrong (OK my 4 x 1 million prediction was a 2009 prediciton, but that was a pre-season warm-up prediction, so it still counts). I'm too afraid to commit to a prediction in this thread because I might ruin my 2010 overall prediction too soon.
