If Sega had just put in a mandatory install... *sigh*

Around the Network

I loved the demo and I wish I could just get it soon but the loading time is pulling me back. If really everyone says it's got ridiculous loading time, I ain't convinced.

same thing with me ... the ps3 port is not that bad ( PAL version ) ... I beat the game today ( very easy mode in 7 hours ) ... Don't believe the reviews on the net ... the port is not that bad ...

for me ... the loading times are not that noticeable ... it takes one or two seconds when you got an item ... and there's five seconds loading before/after each chapter ( beside, you'll be in practice mode while loading before each chapter so u'll not get bored ) ...

as for the frame drops it doesn't affect the gameplay at all and it's that bad ... it only happened with me when I summon the demon ( the dragon one ) and on the final battle ( i guess because of the large size of the demon and the final boss ) ...

i guess the only reason behind the problems for the loading times and frame drops is no mandatory install ...

the game is still fun ... it's my favorite hack and slash game this generation ( DMC4 was a big let down for me ) ... but of course GOW3 will be number one on my list when march comes ...

Overall, I give this game 9.5/10 ...

I played quite a bit of it and I really like it so far but did the developers really need to constantly make the cutscenes several minutes long?  Not that I really mind because they are enjoyable in a B-movie kind of way but still, are Japanese developers really this obsessed with cutscenes?

I'll just say this: If you're a fan of the genre and don't buy this because there's a better version out there, you're stupid. I mean if you're willing to skip on what could easily be the best action game this gen on accont of load times and framerate issues, please give the inferiority complex a rest. This is still an excellent game and well worth your money.

I agree, but some people may choose to wait before buying them for their PS3, in case they buy a 360 later and play what is undoubtly the best version of the game...

Got it (for 360) and loving it so far. I'm not a fan of the story yet, though.

I'm currently playing it on the 360, and it's still got it's fair share of screen tearing and load times. I haven't tried the PS3 version, but the 360 one isn't perfect by any means either.

Just got it a little while ago (PS3), but I'm currently depressed that I just paid $393.35 for a new throttle body for my car, so I'm gonna eat and watch '9' before I play it. Those little dolls have it worse than me, so their misery should pick my spirits up :).

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Played the game on 360 and PS3, only difference is Ps3 has a little longer loading times. The game in general has long loading times, Other then that great game.
