I think it's cute how many are taking Ballmers 'in homes' is taken as gospel. How many times has this guy stuffed up before? Many times, that's how many.

Yeah I dunno how he gets away with it tbh!

I think its odd how you ALWAYS comment in 360 threads when you don't even own one and can't stand 360's, trolling much?

I can already see the term 'in homes' in their quartely financial reports.

You should know by now FK, you dont need to own a console to troll it, if i recall you were trolling PS3 on another gaming site, yet you own a PS3. true puffys comment was uncalled for, but hypocrisy is also highly uncalled for.

OT: I don't see how they would know this unless they actually WENT into there houses checking each and every 360, which quite honestly is not only illegal but frightning know MS employs entered my house, unless there really sexy chicks dressed in white and Neon green mini skirts, then by all means cometh.

this number makes no sense if it isn't shipped. Trackers would have to be way off, we have the financial reports from september and we have NPD, GFK, media create etc. a gap like 2.5 million isn't gonna happen.

That is 39 million sold to venders meaning there is about 2.42m sitting on shelves.

ofc it's shipped, he's just put spin on it. Any numbers coming from the big 3 are 99% of the time ALWAYS shipped lol.

Should be a bit undertracked. I don't think there's 2.4 million consoles sitting on shelves right after the Holiday season.

what the hell are they trying to pull by saying "in homes?" Even if they meant sold to consumers they aren't all still in homes. It's the same thing when Sony and MS used to say "install base" which was also misused.

That's bullshit, I'm sick of new comers coming onto VGChartz to attack the numbers when it's been explained over and over how different companies track numbers in different ways. Ballmer makes mistakes, I remember him say something about the 360 last year that was retracted later on, can't remember what right now but I know he did.
