I got this game for Christmas too, I haven't finished God of War 1 yet but I'm really enjoying it.

i got the collection as a xmas gift too

cant wait to start the second one

the second one is 13029402 times better in my opinion...and thats saying sumthing lulz

I remember liking 2 better than one, but I am a much better gamer than I was the last time I played, so we'll see what the future brings since I just finished #1 as well. Man they really cleaned up the graphics, anyone know why they left the ingame graphic cinemas alone though? Man they look bad in comparison.

I thought the first one was pretty disappointing actually. Started off really awesome then started to drag. A lot of really dumbass puzzles about pushing crates and nowhere near enough boss fights.

The 2nd one is much much much better. Working on that right now. (also got the GoW Collection)

i just finished it yesterday. and i agree that the second one is 100000x better! and the ending is mind-blowing!! i can't wait for the 3rd one!!! 2 more months!!! =]

God of War 1: 9/10 (-1.0 for a lot of camera issues and some scenes aren't rendered well in HD)
God of War 2: 9.6/10 (-0.4 for some camera issues and a trophy glitch)

2nd one is better. It has way more epic boss fights and cooler ways to kill them!

I finished the first one from the collection(will go back to plat it...3 trophies away) about half-way in the 2nd one, put it on hold to play cross edge and LBP.

congrats on beating it. im also "tryin" to play it and i figured out so far: ... kratos is a sexy beast x)

i thought that the original god of war was a great game with a bunch of odd design choices that make it frustrating.

1.) hades pillars - the stupidest, dumbest, craziest game mechanic ever conceived by mankind. no fun can be achieved from climbing them, and they're far too unforgiving, which results in you spending an hour on something that isn't fun at all.

2.) too few boss fights - after you've killed your hundredth minotaur, it ain't fun anymore.

3.) desert of lost souls - finding 3 banshees in this huge area, all of them having a random path, will take forever. stupidity reigned in this part of the game. god of war is about searching?

god of war 2, however, is an absolute masterpiece. good thing that idiot jaffe was replaced.
