i tried playing it a long time ago, but never gave it a proper try. not until i got gow collection for a christmas present. i thought the graphics were pretty good and the action was very fun and cool, seeing all the damn blood flying all over the place. the puzzles were nicely done and i actually enjoyed them,i thought the voice acting in the game was very good as well. upgrading the weapons is something i like in my games, enjoyed maxing them all out. the overall quality of the game was extremely good, without question the best action/hack/slash game i have ever played.

i am anxiously awaiting starting on gow 2 tomorrow sometime,cant wait. i would suggest anyone who hasnt played this gem of a game to do it right away. i would score this game : 10/10

the cutscenes were very well done and the ending of the game, i enjoyed alot. still have to try and finish the challenge of the gods yet though.

i want those new costumes for kratos too wear. :)

GoW 2 is even better. Looks like an early next gen game on the GoW collection.

I just beat it last night too. Gonna play thru it again to get the under 5 hours trophy

You'll notice the difference when you start it up. It looks damn good for a PS2 game.

I just beat both, took me 14 hours (6 for the first, 8 for the second).
IMO, the first is better because of the story. The gameplay and fun is pretty much the same in GoW 2. Great games anyway.

im still playing through the first one im on the cliffs of madness right now but man is GOW awesome Kratos kicks some major ass

I just finished for the first time the first GoW about days ago. Very fun game, I liked the story also...Mythology is always fun :)

I started GoW II today and the graphics are much better than the first one.
