Forums - Gaming Discussion - on my way to pick up Bayonetta for 360.... and this SH^T happens

Where I come from the situation is totally different. Most employees go on and on about MS and the 360 and bashes the PS3 and Sony. This was even worse when the PS3 was that "expensive" console with "no games" and "bad versions" of multiplats..

And let's not forget he o'holy LIVE service...

Please stop talking about Microsoft 'bribing' companies, Sony's done exactly the same thing in the past, present and will do so in to the future. Sony's marketing money and securing exclusives helped bury Sega and almost Nintendo too.

You are right to some extent. Sony pushed disc space in both PS1 and PS2 era with CDs and DVDs compared to cartridges and some other CD based formats. Developers liked this, saw the possibilities and many made the jump. Also, Nintendo was famous for shitty 3rd party treatment. This gen Sony continues pushing formats AND are not treating 3rd parties like shit. There is no reason for devs to jump from Sony platform, besides easier development on the 360 (for some devs).

ps: how can I edit quotes into my original post? edit: Oh I just did ^^ LOL

they are many reasons to hate microsoft, and their gaming division it's just on of it.
From internet explorer fiasco, OEM monopolistic rules. low quality software and hardware, and lack of values for the company.
and they actually quite proud of saying something that they "bought", like a kid brags about his dad buying him a new car even with his low grades.

ur comment doesnt surprise me at all

Actually, my wife is a project manager for a web development company who has even done some web development herself.  She nor any of the people she works with have a huge problem with MS.  Hell, they all even busted their asses to get their MS certifications.

I would simply buy the XBox 360 game anyway. I would not listen to what the GS employee was saying. Quite frankly I do not care about what people have to say. Gee it would not impact on my day at all.
Anyway if the GS employees are trying to stop customers from buying 360 games which often sell more copies than the PS3- their days working at GS would be numbered.
Retail employees have the right to sell stuff- not stop people from buying things. No one cares what the sales reps have to say.

IE especially 6 it's a pain for any web developers, since the fails all standards, and it's sad u can't ignore since still is so widely used, even today IE 8 fails Acid 3.

i am getting cisco certification now, not sure if i should get microsoft later.

I go to my local gamestop to pick up Bayonetta for 360, and the clerk starts to complain about how much he hates microsoft, because they buy their way in, PS3 has better games, and he's old school, and microsoft rushed a faulty product to get the first step on sony.

and i'm cool with that, fanboys can have their say. But seriously !!!

it's almost as if they forget that the video game industry is all about making money. who cares if microsoft bought their way in, i'm pretty sure if sony had the extra change they would do exactly the same thing. as for the PS3 having better games. a good game is a good game no matter what system it's on, a good game doesnt credit the console, it credits the developer. and as far as old school go's. old shcool doesnt envolve 3d graphics and polygons or hd, it's pixels and a one way street to CONTRA hell, 10 dots made to look like a spaceship with a gun shooting down 5 dots that look like nothing but they are your enemy raining down from outside your tv.

i'm done venting... thank you for reading, this i shall now enjoy beowulf & grendal.

I have to say I really never had a problem with Microsoft, but certain thoughts did occur to me looking at all the problems they have experienced.  Honestly I have thought much like alot of American products it was rushed and they is why you have the RRD problem.  Sony has been about quality.  I'm not saying there hasn't been as much problems as the 360.  Its embrassing to me and now PS3 finally lowered there console Sony will move into 2nd place.  Yes, Microsoft has more money to throw around.  Just look at there software sales, but for me anyday of the week its about quality.  Therefore I choose Sony.

I wondered what forevercloud3000 was up to these days.

LOL... I'll never forget that one thread where he was trolling the 360 and we ended up bashing gamestop for letting employers take a game home to play it, then return it later and sell it as new..

-edit- found it: GameStop Diaries:Gave 360 a chance.... Pt.1
this one is funny too: The Real Reason Why most Dont have a PS3?

I love my Gamestop, but they are going to take a major hit.  They think they are the gods of the gaming industry.  Other gaming companies are on their tails.  That information doesn't surprise me at all that they play games at home and then bring them back.  Its a reason why alot of my games have been through Best Buy, Gamefly, pawn shops, Gamestation.uk and Amazon.

To be fair, to any companies they gonna have to do anything to win....that's how it goes sometimes.
