People seem to hate Hope but love Lightning, Sazh, and Fang.  I heard that Snow was very annoying with his "I am a hero!" attitude.  I don't know what people think of Vanille though.

People think she is the best female character in the game! Okay, maybe just me...but she was definitely an awesome character

Seraphic, I agree 110% with that to be honest, I've got nothing against female leads, but I HATE games where the lead character is infact a woman, it just doesn't feel as epic, especially when it's a woman with swords etc. Like, if it were a game about a stripper whos family is killed while she's at work, and has to track down the gangsters that stole 'em... (lol), then a female would suit the situation, but in this case (Or the whole Final Fantasy case), a woman saving the world or whatever, just doesn't feel right, as that'd be considered a "hero", who are generally seen as males, I mean come on, weigh the amount of female heroes to the males, and you've got a landslide of a result.

Now, about WKC... again, lol.

I'm really hyped for this game, I've seen too many videos, read some reviews and watched video reviews, although they don't give it amazing scores or whatever, I honestly do not care whatsoever, I just want to see the gameplay, and ultimately be playing it with two of my mates on Day 1.

Although there is one thing I've said I'm not liking, from the videos we've seen so far, it's dubbed, not properly lip synced, it reminds me of Advent Children, which to be honest, for that reason, I didn't enjoy as much as I'd hoped I would. Yeah, perfectionist much ?

... Oh yeah, and talking about FFVII (AC), Lightning is a female version of Cloud, I mean, they even look like they could be brother and sister, and she seems really emo from the videos etc. we've seen so far... why do Square Enix think making an emo lead will make fans go crazy for 'em? Well, I don't know myself, but seriously, I hate emo characers, the only character I've seen so far that looks remotely cool, is Snow, and I haven't seen much of the other characters, although from what I've read, Sazh has the more interesting backstory etc. but I just think they threw him in the mix to avoid criticisms for being racist and not including black people, lol.

1. So what, where do we live, in the west, simple fact is we get FFXIII merely a month later than WKC. Apart from this you say WKC has had massive improvements, we'll see if it really has, people had a big problem with its plot, characters & story, thats isn't gonna change is it?

Please that sounds really really weird.....you choose WKC because you get to make 1 character in the game that doesn't even do much in the main story, you use him online for most parts? Yet your happy with generic main character 16 year old guy & the rest of WKC's generic cast? Have you seen them, they make fang look unique (after you called her generic).

Does gameplay, story, characters, presentation not matter at all to you? those things are being liked in FFXIII! you say bad things bout FFXIII's characters but once again those characters are being praised, WKC's characters have not been praised at all

3. Main character being a GUY.....well I wouldn't mind but he's very bland & boring by the looks of it. WHY MUST THE CHARACTER BE BADASS?

Lightning doesn't have to be badass, thank god she is a human, thats why people are liking her as a character, we don't need more cloud clones!

We need new & unique characters that will be remembered for who they are!

I know its an action RPG, but people are saying FF13's battle system is so fast it almost feels like an action game.

finally once again your sudden hate spurts at FFXIII in many threads are weird to see, saying things like "this will be the epic fail" or "I want this game to fail" doesn't really help, where did this hate come from?

You still do not have many valid reasons to hate the game at all

I mean atleast say "I won't like FFXIII as it won't have exploration, shopws, towns, many side quests"....atleast that holds merit as I can accept you may not like it due tot hose reasons. But the things you "think you supposedly hate" about FFXIII are the things being universally praised

heh... well i thought you would have noticed by now... this gen i tend to fancy the underdog games over the "OMFG UBER POPULAR FRANCHISE FTWLOLROFLMAOBUNNY!" ...

For example, my fave game of 2009 by far was Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires, Yet Uncharted 2 was out, so was Halo ODST, L4D2, KZ2, Re-release of LBP with more content, SW: USE, Flower, Shatter, ACII, Etc...

And when i first got my PS3 my fave game was Folklore, which i proudly chose over Uncharted 1, RFoM among many other exclusives like MotorStorm which was HUGELY popular at the time since it was bundled like crazy at the time and still disliked it, then there was the infamous LBP war i had with makingmusic... needless to say i was right about that to, without anyone to play with online LBP is quite frankly crap.

Same can be said with my 360, when i first got it all my 360 bud's were all like "OH-MY-GAWD" "GET HALO 3 and GEARZZZZZ NAOOO! or your a NUB!" i rented them both, hated them both, and got games like Project Slypheed and Infinite Undsicover, aswell as Star Ocean: The Last Hope (when it WAS exclusive) and enjoyed them all much more then all the Popular games on 360.

In the end, since this gen is Weird in general, im sure its easy for you to understand that there are some gamers who simply DONT go with the flow and like to start flows instead of following them, so just like Folklore > Uncharted, LBP, MotorStorm, RFoM and IU/PS/SO4 > Halo 3, Gears of war1/2, L4D1/2, i stand by my personal taste of WKC > FFXIII for 2010.

You may find my reasons stupid since, yes they ARE universelly praised for it, but thats the very thing of why those are my reasons for disliking the game, as far as i see it, FFXIII = FFX with a graphical updates and a tweaked story, yes that sounds good since X was Amazing, however with other Exclusive games for PS3 on offer like WKC that actually HAS online and a robust Character Creation, i choose the alternative this time round' rather then the FF series.

In conclusion... i wouldn't call this "Hate" against XIII, its more like i hate the fact that the game itself is OVER-POPULAR, like how GTAIV is, and how Halo 3 is and how Uncharted 2 is, i seem to dislike Popular games pretty much alot of the time, if it wasn't for the fact demons souls has ... ya know... demons in it, i'd like that game to even if it is a cult-popular hit, but still...

To be honest, i think the ONLY popular games i like this gen are Flower, WipeOut HD, and Valkyria Chronicles... other then those everyone calls my taste in gaming weird... i would say WKC too, but it seems its being overshadowed by FFXIII, thus pissing me off creating iffyness against FFXIII's very existence.
