Forums - General Discussion - Movies you are not looking forward to in 2010?

Any Twilight films
Any video game adaptations
Any 3d animated film in the vein of the chipmunks (eg pretty much everything not made by Pixar)

The Karate Kid

I can't think of anymore at the moment.

Actually, I don't know.  The casting is interesting, and the fact that it's set in China is a twist on the original, too.  Of course, odds are it'll probably suck... but I'm holding out a shred of hope for this one.

anything made by tim burton or starring jonny depp for a start, anything that thinks its funny but isnt, anything that stars Leonardo DeCantActIo, anything made by disney, anything based on a video game, anything based on a book but that is nothing like the book

thats just some things that put me off films

I liked The Departed, its one of the few films where he was tolerable, but given how good the rest of the film was, even he would struggle to bring it down.

never seen UP, but if its like most disney films ive seen, I doubt I would enjoy it

to add to my list: musicals (words cannot describe how annoying I find them)

Well all right

Long as nobody disliked The Departed, we cool

No doubt I shall be criticising Pixar and Dreamworks for making another dozen ill thought out cheap cartoons. However, Toy story 3 may avoid this.

Apart from that I guess Sex and the city 2 will be one I'm keen to avoid.

I haven't seen Up. But out of all the Pixar/Dreamworks films I've seen over the past four or five years I've found that the majority have not felt, uh, as magic as they used to. I feel as though the films have become a labour of profit as opposed to a labour of love; They've adopted the "stack 'em high, sell 'em cheap" approach.

Or maybe I've just grown out of cartoons.
