Burnout: While I enjoyed the game, and thought the everything was a step up... I really really missed the split screen races, or the crash competitions.
Team Fortress 2 was better then the original TF
Battlefield series: No true sequel just yet.
Call of duty: I do believe MW2 is better than the original game.. So yeah.
Knights of the old republic: no true sequel released.
Total war: The series peaked at Rome. Haven't gotten a chance to play empire yet.

MGS - Worse but still great. MGS4 was a great game but prefer MGS3. Gameplay was improved but it was the little things like the codec and exploring the world that were weakened. Also, boss battles were epic but just don't stack up to MGS3.
Tekken - Better. The gameplay in Tekken6 is the best the series has ever seen, don't like scenario mode much but you don't need it to get characters so... Yay!!! You do need it to get a decent amount of cash though... Also love the 4 of the new characters, the other 2 are ok aswel I guess. One the 4 happen to be in my sig.
Burnout - Never had much time with the past games but Legend and Paradise were ace. More fun that what I had with the third game or revenge.
Disgaea3- Gameplay was improved and better than ever. Stories are on par in quality, the voice acting was much better though.

FF- Well CC: FF VII was great.

god of war- better, i like how they improved the boss battles. awesome how you can hit zeus in the face with a bow n arrow to get a trophy! ftw!
ff13- doesnt dissapoint in my opinion, dont worry darth you will play it in 3 months! ;)

there really hasn't been a new Monster hunter out this gen, the psp ones came out a long time ago on ps2 so they arn't really new...I imported MH2 on ps2 for a modded ps2.Waiting for monster hunter 3 so I'll have to wait and see.
Silent Hill....no it's been worse. Silent hill 2 and 3 were the apex of the series so far.

This gen is way better so far MGS4 Killed it and i'm sure GT5 won't disappoint either!!! Also there is God of War 3 & FF13 that i'll will have to wait and see. I't will be pretty hard to outshine FFX!!!

Metal Gear Solid - 4 was sort of a disappointment
Socom - Confrontation >Socom 3 and Combined Assault but miles still inferior to Socom 2
Resident Evil - 5 was better than 4 but I still prefer all the Resident Evil's Pre-RE4
Devil May Cry - I enjoyed 4 but 3 is still better
GTA - 4 was a big disappointment compared to SA
This gen I have mostly enjoyed new IP's
