Huh? They (amazon) shows it in stock for $299.99, along with the 250GB for $349.99. Must not of been out of stock long.  Perhaps you were looking at the wrong sku?

250gb sku is in stock but it is 50$ costlier too so it deters demand.

Euhhh?!?! Do you think that they have manufactures in each country of the world taking care only of the country it is in. If you need to ship 200K to Japan instead of 10K, and 300 K in europe instead of 150K, that could be 340K in console available in the state. And also PS3 slim as awesome sales since the release in september. They prolly already had a hard time answering the demand. Nothings messy there, only high demand worlwide with a newer manufacture model.

Maybe it's $ony strategy to have more of the 250gb bundle available since they probably don't loose money on it. During the holiday would be perfect time for this since people are spending more money.

Maybe Sony didn't expect this much from the ps3 slim/ price cut or their doing it on purpose which I dont see how it would benifit them.

nah, Sony have finally admitted defeat and has ceased production of PS3's, 2 years of 'Sony is doomed' will do that to ya....well according to allot of the other fanboys this site is full of.
