I sold off my LOTRO lifetime account...but i thoguht the game was great...it was just too late to the party...I was already hooked on WoW. Either one is a fine choice, imho...WoW is better for the raiding and with 3.3 it's amazing, while LOTRO has nicer polish, imho....like houses.

If you're going to lvl up again in wow, at least wait until the Cataclysm expansion is released. Should add alot of replay value with all the areas changed.

I haven't played LotR but tbh I found the Burning Crusade and WotL to be a bit disappointing although I only played the trial for WotL..

Lord of the Rings is like pasta.

Hacking is a huge issue in WoW atm. Blizzard will restore your account to a time once you prove you are the original owner of the account. There is no need to rebuy anything.

However, get your machine cleaned regardless of anything else. The most common way to get an account stolen is through a key logger installed by flash. The key logger logs everything. After getting your machine cleaned get Firefox. Set Firefox up with no flash advertising allowed.

I helped a friend fix his machine after getting hacked and it was painful. Since cleaning his machine / getting an authenticator, he has been going fine. Blizz restored his toons and his guild bank.

well can u help me?? who do i need to send the email to? i tried doing that before but they kept on telling me to go somewhere else and i couldnt find who shud i prove to that its me... i had all the stuff ready but i can gather all the stuff again if u help me :)

Yeah, I will be glad to help out. Let me talk to my buddy during lunch to see exactly what Blizz wanted to restore his account. I will edit this post after lunch today.

I used to play LOTR when it first came out. I stopped only because I didnt really have time for MMO's anymore. If life should ever go back to normal, I'd consider returning to LOTR. I had few issues with the game.

Where does a WoW user get the hack from though? You say 'flash' and key logger, does is work like a trojan sort of? I assume one has to click on something, a banner or something... or how does it get to your comp??

WHat I mean is, if I get a virus on my comp it was usually my own "fault" (by clicking on suspect banners, popups or something).

I recommend WoW or something else.
