Uh... if you're so easily willing to admit that you don't believe the Wii had any software worthy of "Game of the Year" in 2009 then that doesn't make you a fanboy, just a fan of the Wii who happens to think the software offerings of 2009 weren't as strong as other consoles.
Why has the meaning of this word been bastardized along with the likes of "Hardcore", "Casual" and "Gamer".

I think that gametrailers, mostly than being a gaming related website, is a financial cow...
If they earn more money being HD whores instead of supporting the Wii, I can't blame them...
In the other hand, if they're ignoring the Wii just because it is.... the Wii, and not earning as much money as they could, then they are stupid... Just like IGN podcasts, gamespot, etc...
People here put up here some arguements that will make you look like a raging nintnedo fanboy. I thought the game was good and on par with Mario world(which is the best 2-D mario game) Saying that. You might think I think it should win GOTY. Well from what I played. Yes. Though what many people fail to undersstand is that nostalgia blocks their mind. You could be having much more fun with NSMBW. Though In your mind Super Mario World is better. I think that's part of the problem

People play those classics more than that - they have level editors for super mario world you know. The people who replay the game use them.
