Damn!!! at DSL and Wii numbers. The Wii is definitely on reign to be the next DSL or PS2. I feel sad at the low 360 numbers though - I was hoping that more JRPGs will spur more 360 sales in Japan so that I can get my usual PS2 JRPG fix with the 360. Right now it seems the PS3 is bound to be a niche system like the N64, so I'll probably never ever buy the system.

Do you have anything against niche systems or it is just that you only buy what everyone else buys and later than them ?

There will be compelling enough exclusive software to purchase all 3 systems at some point. Niche shouldn't ever become a factor. Price & software variety (all genres) definitely are legitimate reasons.

I usually only buy the system with the most games and then perhaps later one purchase the other systems. I have PS, PS2, and finally bought Gamecube when it was sold for $99. I have the Wii and will buy the 360 soon enough. I'm not sure if I will ever buy the PS3 with 2 price drops since I can replicate most of the experience of PS3 software in X360 and from what I've known of Sony first party doesn't compel me to purchase the system solely for it. I purchased the Gamecube almost solely because of Paper Mario, Fire Emblem, Warioware, and RE4.
