Here is the situation,

Friend of mine is a new found lover of jrpgs, although I could sneak some wrpgs in there and she more than likely would not be able to tell the difference. So me being a fan of the genre have been piling a list for her so she could venture out and play some. She likes the cliche the 'world is fucked lets save it from these evil dudes' type of story, romance is fine to her as well. She does not like srpg's at all, so no Final Fantasy tactics / disagea / tactics ogre / etc.

So far I have let her borrow Final Fantasy 7-10 and she has started 9 and loves it. So I beseech the valiant vgcharterz to help me compile a list to pass on to her, again from the ps1/ps2 era since she only has a ps2.

Wild ARMS is the ultimate "The world is fucked lets save it from these evil dudes" RPG series since all of them revolve around saving/restoring the planet from destruction. And Wild ARMS 3 has a female protagonist if that means anything to her.
