Forums - Gaming Discussion - How many controllers have you broken?

The thought of someone actually breaking a controller out of rage is surprising.

I haven't had any broken ones yet in my years of gaming, but the N64 ones did have some pretty bad A/B buttons along with a few messed up sticks.

Tip: If you like working controllers and have guests over, never put on a fighting game.

not a single one. i take good care of them ;)

I've never ever devastated a controller for anger issues. I'm don't have anger problems and I wouldn't afford to buy a new one for a long time.
Controllers that did break were a few N64 controllers cause of the analog stick.
Gamecube controller cause the cable ripped, don't know how that happened... probably rats.
And a wiimote that stopped working for some reason... don't know how it happened, tried everything; batteries, the Sync button. So I bought a new one in the end.

just one ps2 controller, but it was a manufacturing defect not my own fault

no idea how to make this properly work

Only 1 N64 controller- over 10 years ago when I was going through my teen angst stage. But since then I do not get angry or frustrated that I throw a controller into the brick wall.

Only one, it was original c64 joystick. Damn those winter and summer games were joystick killer. Well, I wasn't able to break tag-2 tho. :)

Let's see here...

About 20 PSone controllers. I dont know why but they broke so easily, even by dropping it on the CARPET let's say less than a feet when i used to sit on the ground and play videogames. I think 3 gamecube controllers (Thanks Melee lol).
NES- Not sure... but all of em are broken by now (So many years ago).
