I've got gamer rage but, I learned how to direct it toward the game. Thus, I have never broken a controller from getting pissed. Though one time I set a 30 pound weight on my bed and then it rolled off and defeated a Playstation controller. Worst of all it was when I bought several nostalgia titles. (such as Crash Bandicoot 3)
I broke 1 N64 controller (wore out the analog stick), and 1 powerpad (for the NES). Other than that, I've never broken a controller. I don't see the point of throwing away my hard earned money.
none from anger (i play for fun)... but 2 or 3 due to intense usage...
Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4
No controllers broken to the point where they no longer worked. And I've owned/bought dozens over the years.
For a lot of my secondary systems (every generation, one console seems to see the most use) I never had to buy a second controller.
Plus I tend to buy replacement controllers for the consoles I do use regularly and the old ones become secondary controllers or "retired" to the giant bin of unused controllers, cables and peripherals.
My original Six Axis controller has a cracked case but still works fine. It's well worn but currently sees next to no use (it's a third controller).
My original Wii Remote no longer has the little clips that hold the battery cover in place (broke off), but the controller sheath does.
I can't recall any controller actually crapping out on me come to think of it. That can't be right though.
None. Im just that dam good. lol jk but i havent broken any cause I think about my money.
Several original Xbox controllers, and the X button on one of my 360 controllers clicks and the RB on my other clicks. Which is like incredibly annoying.
Have only worn out a couple. Breaking a controller out of anger is like throwing your money away.
