though 1 million would've been nice, it still sold 965k that week, and another 900k+ the following week, the Ps3 is selling good to me

So this is based on the fact that M$ is an American company...so it is supposed to sell better...well...PS3 doing better in non-UK PAL is due to Anti-Americanism? My point is that people take 360 doing better in NA as a forgone conclusion, when historically, PS brand was just as dominant in NA as anywhere else in the world, and the best selling console in NA is from a Japanese company.

The Wii isn't in the console war. They won awhile back.
By console war I'm talking about: 360 vs PS3.

So, was it a given that the 360 would perform as it has against the PS3 in NA this gen? At the start of this generation, if you'd told ANYBODY...probably even most folks at Xbox division that they would outperform PS3 as it have in NA...we all would have laughed...that's my point. It might be semantics, but had LiLNjGansta said..."I would hope the 360 outsells the Ps3 in NA seeing as how NA is the 360's primary turf"...He says it matter-of-fact...when that hasn't been the case, historically speaking.
it looks like there was a shortage. PS3 was the only console to drop in sales last week, everything else went up.

The PS3 acutally when UP in PAL and NA from last week, but dropped in Japan, so it makes sense to me...the FF13 boost lasted a week, the increases in the other 2 regions totally compensate for the drops in Japan. That seems more plausible, then PS3 shortages, imho, but hey, you never know...often, missed expectation are the results of console availibility.

Wow, completely forgot about ff13 in japan last week lol
Can you blame them though? Holiday sales are hard to predict. Anyone who went shopping in the US shortly after Christmas week could see that stores were ravaged. I know in my own area, consoles were hard to find and many games had sold out. I don't think the situation was too different elsewhere.
95% of gamers don't know they are noobs, the 5% who do won't be noobs for long

A little off topic but I just went to buy Uncharted 2 and even THAT is sold out where i live. Guy said cant keep PS3 games on the shelves (Im trying to trade a game for it so cant just go anywhere). Sucks for me but not for Sony i guess.
