my PS3 died twice in a month :P I was going to give up if it died within 2 months on me again but so far its been running 5 months perfectly

Guess ive had pretty good luck. I had a launch console that RROD on me back in early 2007 and a falcon revision elite that has yet to RROD on me. However i have done the x-clamp mod and also increased the voltage to the fans on the elite so perhaps thats why mine still works like a champ

damn! you just bought 5 games ya i understand how your feeling i would be pretty pissed but more dissappionted than anything, but it seems you still got your warrenty so dont give up yet. Look at some of these other gamers some have gone through 6 xbox's so give it one more try:)

Ironically you're the one derailing the thread into a PS3 vs 360 fanboy thread. Knock it off, there wasn't any such conflict until you came in.

Doesn't anyone remember how messed up the original NES was? Half the time you couldn't get the cartridges to read on the machine (before we now know how to pull them apart and if needed replace the whole assembly). I didn't hear any one saying they were never going to play the NES ever again back in those days. You sent your machine in for service or bought a new one - or both.

Oh and don't get me started on the Dreamcast too!
