But I thought demos weren't indicative of the final product?

But I doubt the final product will change the boxed areas, gameplay mechanics directly ripping off god of war, and the voice acting.

I'll remember that...........

I played both demos ... I am a huge kratos and god of war fan but I though Dante inferno was decent I don't think it should get this much hate.... It has it's own story going on which reminds me of the gladidator movie... I might purchase but I will for sure rent to beat it and get more trophies. I do agree tho that they copied a lot of gow like the boss fighting is so simaller. But I don't think it's a horrible game, what are people gonna do when god of war franchise is gone? This is a good alternative IMO

^^^^^^
God of War will not end anytime soon.

Well I played Bayonetta's Demo and Dante Inferno's demo and I can say that Bayonetta completely obliterates Dante's Inferno.

I have yet to play the demo of God of War 3 ( Guess I should buy District 9..) but I can already see why people call Di's a blatant rip off of gow3..

So I would say...Bayonetta > DMC4 >> Dante's Inferno.

It is a rip off but the demo was pretty fun but it seems more like a rent than a must buy.

You're about a month late.

But yes, Dante's Inferno is a shameless ripoff of God of War. Not to say the demo was bad, it was just nowhere near as good as the game it's clearly imitating.

I was about a month banned too.

what did u get banned for??

Made a joke thread about MS winning this gen and pretended I was serious  (Arcade price 19.99 in 2013...lol)

When people started replying a lot, I thought I'd play along for the vg$, and when it turned to an all out flame war, I posted "It was a joke, I did it for the vg$" and mods banned me for flamebait.

I did deserve it though....

sounds funny, I missed that one lol.

it's the future of handheld

PS VITA = LIFE

The official Vita thread http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=130023&page=1

I think this thread is very much a preemptive strike in the vein of Infamous vs. Prototype. In short, this is one of the most pathetic threads I've seen in a long time.

First off, if this isn't some petty fanboy defense, why don't we have this discussion on every 'flawed' game? There's plenty of them out there. Second, even if oneself truly believes that DI is nothing but a GoW ripoff, why is this necessarily a bad thing? So... people get more God of War... yeah, WTF is the big deal? I don't get it... Where I come from, more=better.

I suggest instead of complaining about 'which mechanics from where!?' people simply play games and enjoy what they're given. Personally, I like having more western hack n' slash available. I think it helps to level out all these Japaneses games that I don't like such as Bayonetta.

When death appeared I lolled so badly I thought he had come out of Pirates of the Carabean and

then when he started pleading for his life I was like well better of the console now, but I didnt I

thought it would get better ... It didn’t all did was grab and punish... I mean why create such a

system were you can beat a mob of bad guys by grabbing and punishing they can’t even interrupt

you...it’s so lame.

This thread, is more of a response to selnor's claim that an imitation is on steroids compared to the original. And yes , I am a God of war fanboy.

I posted my impressions on the game, which pales in comparision because it tries too hard to imitate a franchise COMPLETELY while failing to live up to its standards.

In short, Dante's Inferno is bringing about its own downfall by trying to compete with an epic franchise by doing the EXACT same thing.

Darksiders or Bayonetta doesn't rip off GoW such as this and I would buy those 2 games before I buy Dante's Inferno.

If DI innovates in a certain area, I will definitely buy it because of its potentially awesome story (but Dante sounds pretty horrible). I wanted to like this game, but it was a let down because it was nothing but a re-skinned God of War with less fun combat.

If you're looking for Wetern hack 'n slashes, get Darksiders which is getting pretty good reviews.

But come on man, we ALL know how slenor is

DI shouldn't be thrown under the bus simply to further a fan agenda. Let the games come out and enjoy em both. Anyway, that's just my take on this matter...
