I've never hated them.
I just prefer a typical controller. The only reason I don't own a Wii is because of the lack of games that appeal to me.

Both Sony and Microsoft have gotten much more 'Family Friendly' as of late. Heck, in the last year, the XBOX360 marketing has gone from 'Halo 3 gritty bootcamp!' to 'LEGO Batman family fun in the Living Room'. And both companies have publically stated their motion control devices are their answers to Nintendo Wii, despite following those statements with PR nonsense like 'innovating the market for the more hardcore oriented gamer' and 'improving on the innovation of our competitors'. |
What's wrong with that so long as they still deliver to the hardcore?
actually looking forward to the wand - i'm sure my girlfriend & friends will love it
but nevertheless sony will still stay true to their hardcore audience (M rated games like GOW III, Heavy Raind, etc.). it's just that they give it a go for the casuals with modnation racers (for me a must buy) and the wand. i hope it's successful.
like nintendo fanboys on gamecube vs ps2 graphics.
oh.... the hypocrisy.
i still think its kinda of a gimmic, but only if isn't really 1-1 motion tracking and depends on the game that used it.
for mario galaxy was used well, but wii fit? pure gimmick.

I thought you might say that.
It still doesn't change the fact that its basically trying to immitate Nintendo while using the veil of 'don't worry guys, we're still hardcore!'
