There won't be any sort of domination going on before the release of Natal. The reception of Natal is completely up in the air right now considering the lack of specific information that MS has released in regards to packaging/pricing and most importantly, software support.

We can skip the perfunctory listing of titles and exclusives for the first half+ of 2010 because all game platforms in 2010 have strong line ups with stand out titles that are "must buy" for their respective platforms.

It boils down to pricing and packaging for the Xbox as Fall begins to wind down. If MS significantly drops prices on their two main SKUs while simultaneously bundling Natal along with a true killer app with the broad appeal of Wii Sports, then the Xbox has the potential to see runaway sales for the holidays. Any sort of console hardware redesign would be primarily for the purpose of cutting costs by reducing materials in production, which is purely speculation anyway. Let's see the spy photos from a Chinese factory before making with the "Slim 360" rumors.

That is a lot of "ifs" not to say that this couldn't still happen.

Regardless, it wouldn't happen before the end of Q3 through Q4.

Yeah I don't see either really dominating the other until the fall...of course Nintendo should continue to outsell both. Once fall comes it may be a different story, MS has so much advantage with price and natal, I just don't think Sony will be able to keep up.

Meh,the price advange hasnt work really,they cut the price for the 360 but the ps3 still dominated so natal its their only hope.Halo reach wont sell many units cuz it only appeals to people who already have an xbox360.

Well i really do think this is sony's year. i see them going neck-neck with the big n, losing by 2-3 million units worldwide. Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3, MLB 10 The Show, more sales than the 360 version of Final Fantasy 13, MAG, The Last Guardian, possible re-released and improved Metal Gear Solid 4 (Kojima has done this with each Metal Gear Solid game) , ModNation Racers, White Knight Chronicles, Last Rebellion, and the underrated Heavy Rain. Now im not going to deny that Halo Reach, Splinter Cell Conviction and Mass Effect 2 will be awesome and they'll sell great, but i see Alan Wake disappointing like AC1 and even worse, Too Human. Fable 3 will most likely be delayed and i dont c the bugs of Bayonetta making a difference between the sales between the ps3 and 360. 

So in short, no the 360 wont dominate this year. Another 3rd place finish for the XBOX 360.

Right now I am only looking at Alan Wake, and SPlinter Cell: Conviction right now. The rest of the line-up does not look like it will meet the quality of games I like to play. The only one on the fence is Mass Effect 2. I am sure we will see some great stuff announced that will launch this year. I really hope Gears of War 3 will be shown again at GDC for a fall launch, but that other crappy franchise (Halo) may mean no Gears this year. I have to wait and see more on Natal.

For me even my 2 for sure titles will make this a good year for the 360, but in terms of dominating from a games point PS3 will take the cake.

For PS3 I will be getting MAG, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy XIII (the Better Version), God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, Agent, The Last Gaurdian, and MLB 10 The Show. Again I am sure that we will see more titles announced for this year, and the same goes for the new controls here as with Natal.

No one is going to dominate no one. It's going to be a tight race.
