it needs to be strict, in order to get people to think before they post, knowing they might not post for a few days if they are out of line.

Happy New Years to you too. I think VGC is trying to be different from "the rest". Instead of having forums filled with never ending nonsense, on every single thread, VGC wants to be the site where you can go and read a "Gran Turismo" thread without ever seeing the word "Forza". It wants you to be able to go into a Halo thread and not see the words "overhyped" and "milked to death". I think this is their ultimate goal, and these strict moderations are just the first steps to achieving this goal. (This is what I think anyway)

I had 2 paragraphs explaining professionalism and such but I deleted it.

To boil it down, despite the wackiness the "z" (from Vgchart"Z") brings to this website, the entire theme of this community is accuracy and industry, not fun and games. Of course, we still have fun and games, and I wish mods would be more lenient about it, this site is not a "games site", it's an "industry site".

Youtube is a great example of what could happen. Its scary when I think about it. lol

When someone goes too far they get banned. I think that's a good thing.
