what? Dead space is a half decent game at best. the original REs were awesome.

Dead space is not survival horror either. It just a third person shooter with aliens and a stiff control system.

Dead Space is a great game, and it obviously has a great developer(imho).

However, the people who invented Resident Evil 4 changed gaming forever. Just look at HOW MANY top games use the camera, or other gameplay mechanics from RE4, including Uncharted 2, Dead Space, and Gears 2 console fans.

RE4 will probably never be surpassed when it comes to influence on any genre(except by possibly SMB and Mario 64 and a select few megaton influential games from the past), because it is to 3rd person shooters what butter is to toast.

Besides that, Dead Space has a good enough start to give the rest of the RE series a run for its money, but they have to keep up and increase that level of quality..

If Dead Space 2 pulls a Resident Evil 2, then we'll be in for some excitement.

Dead Space was better than RE5. If RE keeps doing the co-op crap set in sunny places then yes Dead Space will be king.

This generation? YES! But Condemned destroys Dead Space (as a Survival Horror game).

RE5 isn't a survival horror in my opinion. For me it's a good action game and nothing more than an action game.

Well doesn't even come close to RE4 although it owes everything to that of RE4 haha. That would be its inspiration. But hey as of late I can't argue against it. Dead Space versus RE5... I'd have to go with Dead Space haha. We'll just have to see what the next RE game offers. Maybe a return to what was great in RE4 and not try to be like Gears of War or Uncharted (which owes there existence to RE4). Back to form is what needs to be done with RE.

However I must say for upcoming Survival horror games I'm more interested in the Shinji Mikami/Suda 51/EA survival horror game coming out:

I mean that is an all star team right there and I can't wait to hear details about it. Note that Shinji Mikami is the guy behind Resident Evil, up til the 4th one of course, and Suda 51 is the guy behind Killer 7, No More Heroes, and even Fatal Frame IV on the Wii. That is something to look out for.

Lets actually get a Dead Space game that is as good as Resident Evil 1,remake,2,or 4 before we actually mention the Dead Space series in the same breath as Resident Evil!!

Dead Space is only one game. Besides RE5 RE always brought the horror. I do however, think that The controls from Dead Space should be used in the next RE game. That would be awesome. And Also if we are going to have co-op Capcom, please make sure it's a pairing the fans want. IE

Leon and Chris?
Chris and Jill?
Chris and Claire?
Claire and Leon?

Or please just make it a single player game with two scenarios God Damn Capcom you fucked up DMC4 and RE5 don't fuck up RE6 and DMC5 Bitch

I thought Dead Space was a lot better then RE5... then again RE5 was the first and only RE I have ever played...

I started playing Dead Space Extraction and that game is fun too.


I think DS will only get better.
