Forums - Sony Discussion - PS3 players getting screwed?

I've seen and heard about this a lot, but PS3 games are often crappy compared to PC and XBOX 360. look at the review for "Bayonetta." the PS3 version got a poor review because of the slowdowns and graphical problems (IGN review for those who wanted to know what I'm talking about).

PS3 has some solid games I can't argue that. I know Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, etc show what can happen with this system but games like Fallout 3, Bayonetta, and more seem to have some large issues compared to the Xbox 360 versions.

So here is my question; are PS3 owners getting screwed?

we already had a thread about this, but yea PS3 version was put together by second hand team to boot

was there? sorry!
so many bloody threads on here, I didn't look for one lol.

Blame the porters, most games are designed for the PC and Xbox then sent to the PS3 where people seem to get sloppy...

I don't think they really care all that much. I am well aware of the fact that a large ammount of Multiplatform games are inferior on the Ps3 and have graphical and framerate issues etc. But the Ps3 has some good exclusives, and I think Ps3 owners care alot more for their exclusives like Uncharted 2 etc. which all use the console to its best ability.

The Ps3 is just harder to program for and Third-party developers tend to shy away from it or don't invest as much in it as Sony owned devs do so they can't really get the most out of it.

I am not going to argue with you. It will simply be a waste of my time, and yours.

What was so bad about fallout on PS3? I played it on PC. And Bayonetta doesn't appeal to me so I don't really care which system it's better on.

I think we've reached the point now where there are only micro-differences between most multiplatform titles on PS3 and 360.

Then once in a while you get a sloppy port like Bayonetta and this issue crops up again.

Regarding Fallout 3 though - was the PS3 version supposed to be worse than the 360 version? I've played both and never noticed anything different...

DirectX games makes for bad PS3 ported games. That and porters are morons.

Apparently some texture issues and framerate drops or something, not really sure. I don't think it makes that big of a difference though.

No, honestly I just think reviewers are just annoying and nitpicking to make PS3 users think differently. I have played and will in the future many of PS3 ports and haven't notice any flaws.

Play the game and stop worrying about what the media says and if you notice the flows then you can then make an assumption.
