I had a close look at the sales of this generation's home consoles according to VGChartz data to compare their average weekly numbers.
I found this particularly interesting because there are huge differences between the consoles' release dates in the three big different regions. For example, the PS3 was out 68 weeks after the 360 in Europe, which is a strong region for Sony.
Personally, I believe that these "sales pace" numbers show quite well how the consoles have performed so far compared to each other. It's funny to see the numbers from another perspective not just looking at the total sales.
